Wenvar is a shared site photo register for construction teams: photos are time- and place-stamped at the moment they are taken, and the whole project team can search them. This page covers getting access, installing the app, and the questions we hear most. For anything else, email support@wenvar.com.au.
Getting access
Wenvar is invite-only. There is no sign-up screen: a project admin at your company invites you by email, and you set your own password from that email. If you are not expecting an invite and want to use Wenvar on your project, see Request access.
Installing
iPhone: Wenvar is in testing on Apple's TestFlight. Your project admin sends you the link: install Apple's TestFlight app, then open the link on your iPhone.
Android: Wenvar's camera runs in your browser at app.wenvar.com.au/capture. Open it in Chrome and add it to your home screen when offered, so it opens like an app.
Then sign in with your email and the password you set from your invite.
Common questions
Why does Wenvar ask for precise location, “while using the app”?
Wenvar stamps each photo with where it was taken, so the record is accurate and the photo can be placed correctly on the project map. “While using the app” means location is only read while you have Wenvar open and are capturing, never in the background. Precise location keeps that stamp accurate to the spot, not just the suburb.
My photo says it's waiting to upload. When does it go?
Every photo is saved on your phone the moment it's taken, then uploaded as soon as there's a connection. On the iPhone app this happens automatically. On the Android web camera, uploads happen while the camera screen is open and you have signal; if you're offline or close the camera, waiting photos upload the next time you open it with a connection.
What is the code Wenvar asks admins for?
Project admins and anyone with people- or account-management powers sign in with an authenticator code as well as a password, because those accounts can change who has access. Anyone else can turn this on for their own account if they want it.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, choose "Forgot password?" and we'll email you a link to set a new one. This works the same way for the iPhone app and the web camera.
How do I delete my account?
Request it from the app (More → Delete my account) or from the register on the web. We complete deletion within 30 days and email you when it's done: your login and personal profile are removed, but photos you already filed stay in your project's register, because they are the customer's site records. We tell you this before you confirm the request.
